Kelley named Media & Community Relations director

Suffolk City Manager Albert Moor has appointed Timothy Kelley as director of Media & Community Relations, effective Monday.
Kelley has been with the city of Suffolk since December 2003. Tim Kelley was initially hired as the city’s cable coordinator and was responsible for the operations of the city’s government access channel along with audio/video support for city departments.
Kelley was named interim manager of the Media & Community Relations Department in October 2011 and became manager of the Media & Community Relations Department in May 2013. The position was later reclassified as assistant director of Media & Community Relations. Tim has served as the city’s deputy FOIA officer since October 2011 and as interim director of Media & Community Relations since Jan. 7, 2022.
Kelley received his Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Louisiana State University with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in history.
