Irvin Claude Salmon, 84, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. He was the son of the late Claude and Ethel Salmon. He is predeceased by death by his brothers, Jack Salmon and Patrick Salmon.
Mr. Salmon enjoyed spending time with his family, rooting for the Washington Redskins and visiting the Outer Banks. He was the life of the party and never met a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Claudia Salmon; daughter, Lisa McLaughlin (Andy) of Windsor; grandchildren, Meredith McLaughlin and Mary Blythe McLaughlin; brother, James Salmon (Elaine) of Suffolk and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, in the Suffolk Christian Church with the Rev. Tracy Hartman and the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Downtown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Christian Church, 216 N. Main St. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
