Deacon Jesse L. Blount of Brook Avenue passed away on Jan. 11, 2022, while a patient at Sentara Obici Hospital. A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A homegoing celebration will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Move of God Ministries, 221 S. Main St., Franklin, with Evangelist Willie Riddick delivering the eulogy. The interment will follow in Southview Cemetery. Masks are required at all services. Service provided by the staff of Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St. Franklin.
