Suspect identified in stabbing, robbery

Suffolk Police have identified a suspect in a Thursday stabbing and robbery.
Police have warrants on file for Preston Davis, 28, of Suffolk, according to a city press release. The warrants include malicious wounding; robbery; and deny use of phone to dial 911.
The stabbing and robbery happened at 3:19 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Pinner Street. A male victim was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital with serious injuries. A female victim reported she and the male victim had come in contact with the suspect inside her home. Following a verbal argument, the two men left the home and continued the argument outside, when the suspect reportedly stabbed the other man. He later allegedly took the woman’s phone.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release.
