Ronald Gilmer Pulley, 74, of Suffolk, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Beulah Pulley; sisters, Hope Starkey and Belle Roebuck.
Ronald was an avid rabbit hunter, enjoyed raising chickens and beagles, as well as gardening. He also had many friends that enjoyed spending time with. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he previously served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda G. Pulley; children, Alan Pulley (Paula), Lisa Mack (Patrick) and Eric Pulley; grandchildren, Jonathan Pulley, Karli Daughtrey, Morgan Pulley and Camryn Mack; sisters, Nadine Edwards and Joyce Bryant; brothers, Herbert Pulley (Linda) and Phillip Pulley (Linda); as well as numerous nieces and nephews and close cousins, especially Curtis and Curt Pulley.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow at Holland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Downtown Suffolk Chapel.
