Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Whaleyville Boulevard Friday morning.

The crash happened at 6:59 a.m., according to a city press release. It occurred in the 4200 block of Whaleyville Boulevard, in the Liberty Spring area.

Three people were taken to local hospitals. One suffered life-threatening injuries, and the two others have injuries not considered life-threatening.

The roadway at this location will be closed for the next few hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
