Man injured in shooting

Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday evening.
Police responded at 6:21 p.m. Friday to the 500 block of Ocklawaha Avenue for a report of an adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg, according to a police department press release. The wound was not considered life-threatening. He was treated and taken to a local hospital by Suffolk Fire & Rescue.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time, and there is no further information available for release, police stated.
