Reference the Suffolk News-Herald article on Aug. 29, 2021 (“City prosecutor threatens to sue”), I would like to know what the big deal is with Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Brandon Wrobleski regarding the COVID-19 shot.

Shots for various diseases have been around for ages. I recall having to get shots before I could go to school and getting them updated each summer thereafter. Smallpox was one of the most contagious diseases. Then later, in 1955, the Salk vaccine became available for polio. I was in the military service by then. There was no hue and cry or threats of lawsuits. Everyone I knew was anxious to get the protection from the various diseases for themselves and everyone else.

Apparently attorney Wrobleski was never in the military service. I still flinch when I think about those shot lines, especially the first day and before shipping out for overseas duty. There were shots for things I had never heard of.

I would like to say to attorney Wrobleski: be a man about the vaccine. Take the shot. It won’t kill you, but may prevent you from spreading the COVID-19 variants to someone else, maybe a family member, close friend or me. I would appreciate it.

As for any employees quitting instead of taking the shot, let them quit. We don’t want them walking around and spreading COVID-19 to the citizens of Suffolk.
