To the editor:

I want to thank the City Council for its recent approval to construct a solar farm in the Holland area of our city. And I urge them to give the same level of consideration to the proposed farm to be constructed off of Wilroy Road, as reported on by this newspaper.

Solar energy and other renewable energy projects are the way forward, and will help lower overall CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) that have a huge impact on climate change.

Landowners who choose to partner with solar developers should be applauded, not vilified. The same holds true for landowners who choose not to work with developers. It’s their decision.
