Voters across the state will visit the polls on Tuesday, June 8, for primary elections for statewide offices and House of Delegates.
The Democrats are having primaries to choose candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. The Republicans have already chosen their candidates for these seats by convention.
Both parties are also having primary elections where needed to choose candidates for House of Delegates seats. No primary elections are needed in Suffolk for the House of Delegates, as each party has nominated only one candidate for the 64th and 76th districts.
The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line at 7 p.m., you will be able to vote. Voters must show acceptable ID. For more information, call 757-514-7750.
