Armed robbery at North Suffolk Zaxby’s

Suffolk Police said a man got away with an undetermined amount of money after showing a handgun and robbing the Zaxby’s restaurant in the 6100 block of College Drive in North Suffolk early Sunday morning.
Police said there were no injuries.
The alleged incident took place around 12:23 a.m. A preliminary investigation showed that a light-skinned, 6-feet, 1-inch Black man in his early 20s entered the restaurant through a rear door and showed a handgun, demanding money. The man fled on foot with the money, according to police.
The man was further described as having a thin build and short twists in his black hair, according to police.
Suffolk Police said video surveillance photos would be provided at a later time, and the incident is still under investigation.
