A vehicle struck a shoe store on North Main Street on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred in the 1100 block of North Main Street at The Shoe Department store. It was reported at 12:55 p.m.

The vehicle, occupied only by the driver, was in the parking lot when it struck the building. No injuries were reported.

Suffolk Planning & Community Development Department building officials have responded to confirm the structural integrity of the building. No determination has been made at this time.

The Shoe Department was also the victim of a vehicle striking the store on Oct. 17, 2019. In that incident, the vehicle made it almost all the way into the building before coming to a stop. Two employees were injured.

Monday’s incident remains under investigation.
