No injuries in Taco Bell shooting

There were no injuries from a shooting that happened in the Taco Bell in the 1400 block of North Main Street on Thursday night.

The shooting was reported at 6:35 p.m., according to a city press release. Preliminary investigation determined that an unknown adult black male entered the Taco Bell and got into a verbal argument with an employee about an issue not related to the restaurant.

The subject then brandished a firearm and shot one round inside the restaurant before fleeing the scene, the press release stated. It is unknown at this time how the subject left the scene after walking outside the restaurant.

Suffolk Police are still investigating.

Anyone with information or who may have been inside the restaurant at the time of the incident, or that may have seen the subject flee the scene, is asked to contact Suffolk Police or Suffolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
