The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the Western Tidewater region, which
will remain in effect through Friday evening.
Four to six inches of rainfall are expected locally from the remnants of Hurricane Sally, as it merges with a slow-moving frontal boundary. A flash flood watch means conditions are right for rapidly rising water, possibly resulting in flooded roads and/or flooding of structures.
