Update 9:10 p.m.: The power is back on, according to the Dominion Energy outage map.

Earlier: A circuit out has resulted in about 1,243 Dominion Energy customers in a wide swath of southern Suffolk losing power.

The Dominion Energy outage map listed the cause of the outage and the number of customers out shortly before 7:30 p.m.

The estimated time of restoration is between 9 p.m. and midnight.
