LayTania Plachette Cheeks-White was born on July 31, 1975, to the late Claudia Cheeks and Roscoe Brown Sr. She was born in Danbury, Conn., and resided in Suffolk.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Lamont White; four sons, Davon Cheeks, Travius Cheeks (Quantasia), Shaune Cheeks and Xavier White; two brothers, Roscoe Brown Jr. (LaWanda) and Prince Barker; one sister, Natesha Cheeks; one grandson, Christian Cheeks; grandfather, Casper Cheeks (Bennie); grandmother, Dorothy Cheeks; godmother, Mary McCuller; mother-in-law, Stephanie White; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Carver Memorial Cemetery.
