A group of local leaders will have a time of fasting and prayer on Saturday, with a meeting for prayer set for 6 p.m. at the Constant’s Wharf Park & Marina.

“The Lord is leading me for us to come together and do a time of fasting and prayer,” said Domenick Epps, one of the organizers. “It’s praying, scripture reading, songs, and just crying out to the Lord for healing of our land.”

Participants are encouraged to fast from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and to gather for the prayer at 6 p.m.

“I think a lot of people will show,” Epps said.
