To the editor:
I’m a resident of Chorey Park. I’m a bus rider. I get out and ride the bus when I can. I have noticed positive changes in Suffolk Transit. I see the bus running regularly, and the bus drivers are more kind and polite.
I’m in my 60s. A lot of people that live in Chorey Park are disabled. The buses are too small for two persons that are in wheelchair at the same time. Our buses now can only take one person in a wheelchair at a time. There are people that are bound to their apartments every day.
Could larger buses get the job done? Don’t disabled people have a right to get out of the house sometimes, too?
