Marshall J. Donaldson, 78, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, in his home in Suffolk surrounded by loved ones.

He was born Feb. 22, 1942, in Suffolk to Henretta Donaldson. He married Shirley Ruffin May 11, 1962, in Suffolk. They shared a holy union culminating in his death almost 58 years later.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Shirley Donaldson; six sons; three daughters; 28 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters; one brother; and a host of other relatives.

Viewing of his body will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, at Harris Funeral Home, 685 Carolina Road. Home going services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Faith Temple Church, 476 Wellons St., Suffolk.
