Lady Saints advance to TCIS semis

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Cape Henry Collegiate Tuesday night at home to advance to the conference tournament semifinals.

The Lady Saints took care of business at home Monday as the No. 1 in the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament. In a matchup with Cape Henry, they defeated them 51-16 to advance to the TCIS semifinals, which will be held at Norfolk Christian.

Alivia Giles had another strong game for NSA, scoring 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Cammy Reid added 16 points.

If the Lady Saints win their semifinal matchup at Norfolk Christian on Thursday evening, they will play for a conference tournament title Saturday. NSA’s semifinal game is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Norfolk Christian.
