Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

Colton Brown, senior, Lakeland High School swim: Brown qualified for Class 3 swim meet by placing well in the 200 free and 500 free individual events.

Jayden Epps, sophomore, King’s Fork High School basketball: Epps scored 30 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a win over Phoebus High School.

Ashlyn Swaim, sophomore, Nansemond River High School swimming: Swaim swam a school record time in the 100 butterfly at the region meet while also being a member of two state qualifying relay teams.
