Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Justin Fatherly, senior, Nansemond River High School basketball: Fatherly scored 34 points in a Warriors win over Deep Creek High School.
• Niyah Gaston, freshman, King’s Fork High School basketball: Gaston scored 16 points and had eight rebounds in a win over rival Lakeland High School.
• Laura Cornette, junior, Suffolk Christian Academy basketball: Cornette scored 14 points in a win over Summit Christian Academy.
• Kaleb Brown, freshman, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy basketball: Brown scored 25 points in a Saints win over Norfolk Christian.
