Saints rout Hampton Christian

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy boys’ basketball team earned a 48-point win over Hampton Christian School on Monday.
NSA got its third win in a row when it hosted Hampton Christian. It was the Saints’ biggest win yet this year by way of point differential, with a 96-48 win.
The Saints jumped out to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Jaden Freeman led the way for the Saints with 19 points and 17 rebounds, as NSA had four players in double-figures on the night.
George Pettaway also added 16 points and eight assists, with Grant Lopez adding 15 points. Lopez and Pettaway combined for eight three-pointers made, with each shooting better than 50 percent.
Next for NSA is the NSA Holiday Classic that will feature teams like Miller School. The classic will take place Friday and Saturday, with NSA matching up with Miller School Friday night at 8:30 p.m.
