Visitors can get started on their holiday season shopping lists with a stroll along Main Street on Small Business Saturday this weekend.
This Saturday, more than 40 merchants throughout Suffolk’s historic downtown district will offer a wide array of items during the fifth annual {Re}Stored Pop-Up Shop event. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to the public.
According to the press release, items for sale will include “artisan-quality crafts, jewelry, fine art, woodcrafts, crocheted items, pottery, handbags, holiday ornaments, home decor, and more.”
The following are just some of the {Re}Stored vendors set for Saturday: Scentsy, Ginger’s Creative Woodworks, KayLaBella Designs, Tupperware, Thirty One, Doodlebug Dips, FelgenCrafts, Miller Homemade Crochets, Custom Baskets by Kay, Joanne’s Raw Goat Milk Soaps and Earth Redefined.
Visitors will have ample, free parking throughout the downtown area, and enjoy complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, homemade crepes, face painting and a visit from Santa.
Those that need a break from the shopping can stop by a comfortable seating area in front of the SunTrust Bank building along Main Street, where several large screen TV’s will be showing college football games throughout the day.
“As part of Suffolk’s ‘Love Local, Buy Suffolk’ initiative, the {Re}Stored event encourages residents and visitors to support owner-operated businesses, as well as support the revitalizing of the downtown Suffolk area,” the press release states.
