The Lady Knights fell by three in their second game of the season.
The Suffolk Christian Academy girls’ basketball team went to 1-1 on the season after a loss to Tidewater Academy Tuesday night. The Lady Knights got down by eight in the first quarter, being outscored 10-2. However, they swung momentum back their way, outscoring Tidewater Academy 11-6 in the second quarter. Both teams battled it out in the second half, but Tidewater was able to do just enough to keep SCA away for the win.
Laura Cornette led the Lady Knights in scoring for the second consecutive game, going for 11 points. Heather Pearson added six points and nine rebounds. Anna Rennie led the way in rebounds with 11.
SCA will play its third game of the week when it takes on Denbigh Baptist Christian School at Wilroy Baptist Church Friday night.
