The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ volleyball team reached the state championship game with a Friday win over Steward School.
The Lady Saints will compete in their second state title game in four years. At Roanoke Catholic School Friday, the Lady Saints earned a 3-0 straight-sets win over Steward School. Addy Greene led the offense with 10 kills and three aces; Marlin Price added nine kills. Rylee Bono led the defense with 19 digs. Tracy Wang had 35 assists and 5 kills.
The NSA win set up a state championship date Saturday afternoon against Trinity Christian School. TCS was the No. 2 ranked school in the bracket right behind NSA. The two teams met at a tournament at Flint Hill School in September, where NSA won.
