The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy volleyball team won the TCIS conference tournament last weekend.
The NSA Lady Saints continue to roll as they picked up another Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools championship. NSA headed into the tournament as the No. 1 seed. In the championship game Saturday afternoon, they earned a 3-1 win over Peninsula Catholic High School.
Addy Greene had 17 kills and 17 points on serve. Marlin Price added a career high 13 kills. Tracy Wang had 50 assists. With as strong of a season the Lady Saints have had so far, they will likely head into the state tournament with the No. 1 seed, as they have held that very position since the first weekly poll of this season.
NSA is primed for another state title run after having been in either the semifinals or the state title game the last three seasons.
NSA will host Atlantic Shores Christian School at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the state tournament.
NSA 3, Peninsula Catholic 1
