Velocity appoints new members

Velocity Urgent Care has announced the appointment of two new members to its medical team.
Dr. Tiffany Sibley has been appointed chief medical officer. Sibley is responsible for the delivery of medical services at all Velocity Urgent Care facilities; integration with community health resources including primary and specialty care; quality assurance including participation with the Sentara Quality Care Network; expanding occupational medicine services to employers, and hiring, developing and supervising Velocity Urgent Care’s licensed and board-certified medical providers.
Sibley is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with experience in urgent care medicine. Her previous work includes service as a medical director, regional medical director, and physician executive in a large, multi-specialty medical group. She specializes in developing programs and processes aimed at maximizing efficiency, financial sustainability and patient experience. She attended Oklahoma State University Center for Health Services as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Thomas Bottoni has been appointed regional medical director serving Velocity Urgent Care facilities in Suffolk, Carrollton and South Boston. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine from Hahnemann University. He served his residency in emergency medicine at Naval Medical Center, San Diego.
Bottoni has more than 20 years of combined experience in the U.S. Navy as a physician. He served as adjunct professor of emergency medicine at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md., and as community clinical instructor for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
