Children can get their Halloween costumes ready for a “Nightmare at Creekside,” a frightful good time on Saturday that’s free of charge.
This event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Creekside Recreation Center, 1000 Bennetts Creek Park Road. This event is free and open to children ages 4 to 12, along with their parents or guardians.
According to the press release, children should come dressed in costume, although no masks are allowed at the event. There will be a haunted house, arts and crafts, trunk or treating, a costume contest, games, music and more.
“The haunted house will be located in our classroom and arts and crafts in the gym along with bounce houses and a cake walk,” Recreation Specialist Shana Bynum wrote in an email. “We are also having trunk or treat outside in the parking lot. We are doing giveaways for the best costume and the best trunk.”
