For the second time this season, the Nansemond River High School girls’ volleyball team earned a win over rival King’s Fork High School on Tuesday.
Nansemond River has gone 4-0 against Suffolk opponents. It was a strong win in many ways for the Lady Warriors as they claim the city championship for girls’ volleyball this season.
Claire Parker had 11 aces, while DeAndra Moore added seven kills with Alexa Lyons adding ten digs. Nansemond River has won its fifth game in a row, and Coach Cassidy Feldt has talked about how her group continues to come together game in and game out.
“The girls have really come together these last few games,” Feldt said. “They give it their all in every point and every set of the games. I am so proud of how they have come together as a team during practices, and it shows as they play during the games.”
King’s Fork took its 11th loss this season and will look to bounce back against its other rival, Lakeland High School, Thursday night. Nansemond River will take on Deep Creek High School.
