Lady Saints tennis get win

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ tennis team got a 5-3 win over Cape Henry Collegiate Thursday afternoon. No. 1 player Frances Hogg played a strong match on senior night, defeating an opponent in straight sets that defeated her last time they played.

No. 2 singles: Anne-Perry Harrell (NSA) lost to A. Kutelia (CH) 7-5, 6-2
No. 3 singles: Kayla Kosiorek (NSA) def. S. Strickland (CH) 6-1, 6-0
No. 4 singles: Maren Council (NSA) def. M. Detorres (CH) 6-1, 7-6.
No. 5 singles: Grace Russell (NSA) lost to M. Turner Shipp (CH) 6-1, 6-2
No. 6 singles: Molly Leavy (NSA) and H. Speight (CH) – unfinished due to darkness
No. 1 doubles: Hogg/Harrell (NSA) lost to Moore/Strickland (CH) 8-6
No. 2 doubles: Kosiorek/Council (NSA) def. Kutelia/Speight (CH) 8-2
