One dead, one injured in separate shootings

Two separate shootings on Monday night left one man dead and a teen injured.
The first shooting was reported at 8:22 p.m. in the 100 block of Greenfield Crescent off Carolina Road, according to a city press release. Officers found a shooting had taken place and the 16-year-old male had been dropped off at a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.
The second shooting less than three hours later left a man dead.
Police responded to reports of the shooting at 10:44 p.m., according to a city press release. It happened in the 600 block of Adkins Circle in the Lake Kennedy Estates neighborhood.
The victim, Antoine Deandre Johnson, 39, was found inside a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the press release stated.
After their preliminary investigation, police arrested Laquinton Darale Blackwell, 31, of Portsmouth, on charges of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
