The Nansemond River High School golf team dropped a match to Great Bridge High School Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors golf team returned to the course after a week of no matches. They fell to Great Bridge in a tough match, 365-317. Schyler Panangasagan of Great Bridge was the medalist for the match, shooting a score of 75.

Nansemond River will have one more regular-season match before getting ready for the regionals. Coach Brandon Frye mentioned that he expects a strong representation of Warriors at the Class 5 Region A matches based on the scores his team has shot throughout the season.

Next, Nansemond River will take on Western Branch High School. The Warriors have yet to get a win over Western Branch during Frye’s tenure. They will look to do that and close the season out strong.
