NSA falls again on road

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy football team is still winless after falling 20-12 at Blue Ridge School Friday.
Playing its second consecutive road game, NSA (0-2) led 6-0 lead after the first quarter, and doubled that lead before Blue Ridge mounted its comeback.
The Saints did not score the rest of the way, as the Barons cut the lead to 12-7 just before halftime, and Blue Ridge capitalized on its second-half opportunities.
“It was frustrating for us,” Saints coach Mike Biehl said. “We dealt with a lot of adversity throughout the game, and we still had a chance to force overtime, but we weren’t able to do so.”
Walker Wood and Christian Townsend both had receiving touchdowns for the Saints.
Despite starting the season without a win, Biehl doesn’t believe it is time to hit the panic button. The Saints are looking forward to getting back to work as they prepare for yet another road game, this time at Christchurch School Saturday.
NSA’s first home game is Sept. 13 against Isle of Wight Academy.
