The Suffolk Police Department will hold a community open house on Sept. 21.
This event is free, open to the public and will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Suffolk Police Precinct II, 3903 Bridge Road. Citizens will get a unique look at police operations as they enjoy facility tours, equipment and vehicle displays and meet the men and women who work every single day to make Suffolk a safe place to live, according to the press release.
Recruiting information will also be available for those who are interested in joining the Suffolk Police Department.
“The Open House is also another occasion to connect with residents in a relaxed, informal setting and to share information about programs and services available to the community,” the press release states.
No pre-registration is necessary for the open house.
