Amber R. Watts

U.S. Air Force Airman Amber R. Watts graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Watts is the daughter of David L. Watts, of Concord, N.C., and granddaughter of Linda S. Taylor, of Suffolk.

She is a 2018 graduate of Jay M. Robinson High School, Concord, N.C.

Cody Pierce

U.S. Air Force Airman Cody Pierce graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Pierce is the son of Daniel Pierce, of Suffolk, and Lisa and William Dooley, of Brunswick, Ga.

The airman is a 2018 graduate of Glynn Academy, Brunswick, Ga.
