The Kroger location at 1401 N. Main St. in Suffolk is now offering a new seafood case featuring local products from the Chesapeake Bay and Eastern Shore.

“We installed the case based on customer feedback, and we can’t wait to offer Suffolk shoppers new seafood options,” said Allison McGee, corporate affairs manager for Kroger Mid-Atlantic. “You can always count on us to find fresh, in-season and locally-relevant food.”

The case will feature fresh and high-quality seafood products sourced from around the world with a focus on sustainable practices, according to a company press release. The case will also feature selections from local vendors like Virginia-based George’s Seafood and Dickie’s Seafood. Trained associates will be available to help customers find the perfect type of seafood.

Through July 16, the store will offer special promotions to celebrate the new seafood case, including:

26/30 cooked shrimp, $6.99 per pound

21/25 raw shrimp, $5.99 per pound

Atlantic salmon for $5.99 per pound

Suffolk customers can also shop for seafood items through the store’s Pickup service (formerly known as ClickList). More than 40,000 items are available through Pickup, including fresh meat, hot foods, sushi and produce. Kroger Plus Card members can quickly access items they regularly purchase after signing into the Kroger app or website when utilizing the Pickup service.
