BECO Asset Management LLC, a Virginia-based multi-family and commercial property developer, announced Friday that Fin & Tonic Tapas & Speakeasy and La Parrilla Mexican Grill will be two of the new tenants for its Bridgeport development in North Suffolk.
Bridgeport is a mixed-use development project located at the intersection of Bridge Road and Windward Lane across from Bennett’s Creek Farm Market. Phase I of Bridgeport will include 3800 Acqua, a 288-unit multi-family community with one- and two-bedroom apartments, and will also feature 10,000 square feet of office space and 60,000 square feet of retail space.
Phase I is still under construction, with hopes of completion by mid-2020, according to Julie Gifford, public relations director for BECO Asset Management LLC.
Fin Seafood has been a popular and well-established restaurant on the Peninsula, according to the press release, and Chef Kenny Sloane has been serving customers in Newport News since 2011.
“His use of only the finest local ingredients and robust menu options have kept his loyal following coming back,” the press release stated. “The award-winning seafood establishment is sure to attract visitors from all over Coastal Virginia.”
La Parrilla Mexican Grill is owned and operated by the Perez family, who have been operating in Suffolk for more than 11 years. Customers at La Parrilla experience authentic Mexican cuisine and fast and friendly service, according to the press release.
“Those living at Bridgeport will have the option to dine in or walk their meals up to their apartment homes at 3800 Acqua,” the press release stated.
The Hampton Roads Real Estate Market Review and Forecast named Bridgeport as one of the top five retail developments to be delivered in 2019, according to the press release. This study was developed by Old Dominion University’s E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate.
“BECO owners Burt Cutright and Eric Olson’s vision for Bridgeport is to create a walkable community for residents and visitors alike and become a new central attraction for the greater Hampton Roads region,” the press release stated.
