Scholarships awarded

The S. Delois Mayes Scholarship Foundation recently selected seven students for scholarships this year and awarded a total of $9,750.
The scholarships winners are:
Audre Davis (Rosie Ellis-Fields Scholarship) — Davis is a King’s Fork High School graduate and will attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was awarded $1,125.
Heather Eichman — Eichman is a Nansemond River High School graduate and will attend the University of Alabama. She was awarded $2,250.
Corey Hasson — Hasson is a Lakeland High School graduate and will attend Old Dominion University. He was awarded $1,125.
Jacquelyn Hendricks — Hendricks is a Nansemond River High School graduate and will attend James Madison University. She was awarded $1,125.
William G. Richardson II (Rosie Ellis-Fields Scholarship) — Richardson is a Lakeland High School graduate and will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was awarded $1,125.
Benjamin Salerno (Rosie Ellis-Fields Scholarship) — Salerno is a Lakeland High School graduate and will attend Emory & Henry College. He was awarded $2,250.
Amaya Wills — Wills is a Nansemond River High School graduate. She was awarded $750.
