Earlier: The Suffolk Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating a man who was last seen on Saturday.

Artha Lee Allen was last seen at his residence in the 800 block of Moore Farm Lane on June 15, according to a city press release. He last had contact with his family on June 16 via his cellphone, which is no longer working.

“This behavior is totally uncharacteristic of Mr. Allen, and Suffolk Police consider him endangered,” the press release stated.

Allen is described as a 50-year-old black male, 5 feet 11 inches, who weighs about 255 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

His green, 1997 Ford Expedition is also missing. The vehicle has Virginia tags JKM-3276.
