NSA soccer headed to second straight title game

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ soccer team has advanced to their second straight state title game.
With a 4-1 win over Covenant School Friday evening, the Lady Saints advanced to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II title game. For the title game, they will get a rematch with Highland School, which they lost to in the state title game last season.
Alivia Giles had a hat trick to propel the Lady Saints, who were the No. 3 seed taking on the No. 2 seed. Emily Dumaran had two assists and Mallory Mizelle had 11 saves.
With the girls’ soccer team advancing, NSA has a total of three teams playing in state title games. NSA will faceoff with Highland School at Glover Park Saturday evening at 6 p.m.
