The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy softball team had seven representatives on the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools All-Conference teams.

Once again, the Lady Saints had a strong year in TCIS play. Their results in conference games were evident by the number of players they had on the All-Conference teams. NSA had four players on the first team and three on the second team.

Jessica Chang, Madison Inscoe, Reese Byrd and Jenna Elswick were first team All-TCIS selections. Addy Greene, Gabby Infranco and Maya McGowan were all second team selections.

NSA recently competed in the TCIS conference championship, where they fell 1-0 to Greenbrier Christian Academy. Now, the Lady Saints will shift their focus to the state tournament, which starts Tuesday afternoon for them. They hold the No. 2 seed in the Division II state bracket.

NSA will host Seton School at home at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the state tournament.
