A Suffolk Public School bus was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency Communications was made aware of the single-vehicle accident at 3:18 p.m., which involved a Suffolk Public School bus in the 500 block of Wedgewood Drive, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

Preliminary investigation determined that the bus left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.  There were 13 students on board and no injuries were reported, according to Klink.

Suffolk Public Schools dispatched another bus to that location so that the students could be transported home.  The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
