Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Sarah Rhiel, senior, Nansemond River High School soccer: Rhiel had eight goals in three wins for the Lady Warriors, including two games with hat tricks.
• Aidan Gay, sophomore, King’s Fork High School baseball: Gay struck out seven in the Bulldogs win over Lakeland High School.
• Hayleigh Presson, sophomore, Lakeland High School softball: Presson threw a two-hitter in a shutout win against Oscar Smith High School. She also got a pitching win in a 12-1 win over Hopewell High School.
