Following are this week’s nominees for the Suffolk News-Herald Player of the Week:

• Simon Dowd, junior, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lacrosse: Dowd totaled eight goals and 10 assists in two wins for the Saints.
• Penelope Franklin, junior, Suffolk Christian Academy softball: Franklin had five hits, six runs and six RBIs in two wins for SCA. She also had two triples.
• Nick Arnold, junior, Nansemond River High School baseball: Arnold hit a grand-slam in a Warriors win over Travelers Rest in South Carolina.
