Roads affected by severe weather

UPDATE: Public Works crews have removed downed trees from several affected roadways following this morning’s severe weather.
Dominion Energy crews are working in the 4300 block of Gardner Lane, South Nansemond Drive and Nansemond Crescent and the 3900 block of Old Mill Road. In these specific areas, once the power lines have been removed from the roadways, Public Works crews can then remove the downed trees. These areas are expected to remain closed for several additional hours.
Earlier: Several roadways are affected by downed trees and power lines following severe weather that passed through the area.
Those affected include:
- Moore Farm Lane at Godwin Boulevard
- 4300 block of Gardner Lane
- 2700 block of South Nansemond Drive
- Bank Street at Pinner Street
- 3900 block Olde Mill Road
- Old Myrtle Road and Lonely Lane
- Lake Prince Drive at Lake Point Road
Dominion Energy has been notified related to those issues including downed power lines, and Public Works crews are also working at locations affected by downed trees.
As of 9:30 a.m., 563 customers in Suffolk were out of power, according to Dominion’s online outage map.
The severe weather that passed through brought a tornado watch and severe thunderstorms.
