Alivia Giles and Cammy Reid were both selected to the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II All-State teams.

The Lady Saints are only a couple of weeks removed from a strong season. The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy girls’ basketball team finished among the top four teams in the state, coming close to a state championship game berth. Giles and Reid were a big part of the Lady Saints’ successful season.

Giles was selected first team All-State, while Reid was selected second team All-State. Giles had a very strong season, making appearances on both the All-Conference and All-State teams. As a junior, she could possibly have an even bigger senior campaign next year. Reid, a freshman, transferred in and was immediately able to have an impact for the Lady Saints. She made All-Conference as well.

The future is bright for the Lady Saints. With no seniors on the team this season, they can look forward to a lot of experience next year.
