The owner of the Stitch Please Yarn Arts store in North Suffolk said Thursday she is closing her business.
Meghan Cosby, who opened the store in late September inside the BLR Professional Building at 5501 Bennetts Pasture Road, said the store simply “wasn’t doing very well” in the area and that she doesn’t plan to open another one.
“I had a lot of support and a lot of customers and a lot of great people, but it just didn’t work out,” Cosby said.
She said that she was grateful for the support that she received at her store from the local knitting community.
“I got to meet and becomes friends with a lot of really great people,” she said. “It was a great experience and I’m on to the next chapter of my life.”
