The Lady Knights girls’ basketball team hopes to finish the regular season out strong, setting momentum for the postseason.
With only two games left in the regular season, the Lady Knights hope those games serve as tune-ups for the playoffs. They have two games against Veritas Collegiate Academy and Gateway Christian Academy. In the last meetings with those two teams, SCA lost both times in very close games.
This time around, SCA is hoping to turn those games into wins. Regardless, the Lady Knights like how they have been playing lately.
“We feel pretty good about where we are,” Coach Kristy Patton said. “With these games ahead of us, we know we have some tough matchups. We played both teams close last time, and we are looking to redeem ourselves a bit.”
SCA’s goal each game is just to play well no matter who it is against. They know both teams will form solid challenges but believe that if they play their games well, the Lady Knights should come out victorious.
“Win or lose, we want to take some good things into the tournament, and that is our goal,” Patton said.
This season has shown a ton of growth so far on and off the court for a young Lady Knights team. They are hoping a strong ending can make it that much better. The Lady Knights will take on Veritas on the road at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
