NR swims past Deep Creek

The Nansemond River High School swim teams picked up wins against Deep Creek High School on Saturday.
The Nansemond River boys’ swim team is 6-1 after a win over Deep Creek 102-54 at the Great Bridge Swim and Racquet Club. The 200 medley relay team of Andrew Betts, Jason Breckner, Hunter Ward and Keagan DeLong took first place. Parker Doleman finished first in the 200 freestyle. Betts took first in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke, with DeLong winning the 100 freestyle.
The 200 free relay of DeLong, Morgan Magrisi, Breckner and Jonathan Sullivan won as well. Hunter took the 100 backstroke win. The third relay team of Ward, Sullivan, Magrisi and Betts took the 400 freestyle win.
The Nansemond River girls’ team is now 5-2 after a 103-66 win. Two relay teams took wins. The 200 free relay team of Carley Bennett, Chloe Swerda, Skylar Scott and Danae Martin won. Also, the 400 free relay team of Ashlyn Swaim, Haley Russell, Rana Ceribasi and Selby Heyman took a win.
Martin took two individual wins in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Heyman took a win in the 100 freestyle, and Ceribasi took the win in the 100 breaststroke.
